HOW TO USE YOUR LADYJUNK
Choose your liner combination. Two regular liners? Two regular + one heavy duty? Heavy duty + booster? For overnight, 2 heavy duty liners + booster? It will take some experimenting to find the combinations that work best for you and these will change as your period changes.
Align the liners neatly. If you are using a booster, place it to the front, back or centre, where you need it.
Slip the liners neatly into the outer. Remember, if you bleed more to the front or the back, position your liners where you think you need them most. Also you can position the entire LADYJUNK slightly more forward or back in your panties, as you think best. .
Since LADYJUNK does not have a waterproof backing, use a store pantyliner for that purpose. You only need to change it when it gets soiled. Use your judgement. One pantyliner can last up to 24 hours with frequent LADYJUNK changes. If you want wings, use a winged pantyliner.
Stick the store pantyliner in as usual. (never thought I would use my pressing ham for anything other than pressing tricky parts of blouses...!)
Set the LADYJUNK on top of the pantyliner.
Tear a piece of medical tape about as long as the tip of your finger, about an inch. You'll need 2 pieces. Tape at each side of crotch, making a nice tight bend around under to panties. If you make a sharp, pointed crease it will jab you. Once you do it wrong, you'll know what I'm talking about.
Secure at each side of crotch. If you want you can add one piece either front or back. This works best with cotton panties. Tape does not stick as well to synthetic, slippery fabric. If the tape you are using really grabs on and won't come off the LADYJUNK easily, don't fight with it. You risk tearing the stitching. Place your LADYJUNK in the soak water and when you wash in soapy water the tape will be easy to pick off then. This black hockey tape is to show up in the photos. (I do not suggest hockey tape since you really need scissors to cut it, no finger ripping. But other than that, I bet it would be secure!)
This shows the tape wrapping around, keeping the LADYJUNK and your panties together. This is a very secure method!
I stick two pieces of tape to the back of my hand, assemble the pad the way I want, set it in my panties and there's the tape on the back of my hand, no fumbling with the roll. This is a handy way to have the tape right where I need it when I need it.
FOR POSTPARTUM or heavy overnight flow LADYJUNK does not have a separate pad. But using two pads, overlapped in the middle, with the liners positioned in the overlapped end of each pad, you can build a longer, thicker pad. Tape in as usual, perhaps using a piece of tapeat front and back to stabilize the extra length.
